The National Pipeline Center has completed the first expanding test of spiral welded pipe of high steel grade in China

Recently, petrochina Natural Gas Pipeline Engineering Technology Research Center Co., Ltd. successfully completed the first full-scale expansion test of high-steel spiral welded pipe in China. In this experiment, three φ1219×22mm and X80 steel spiral welded pipes were used to perform batch expansion tests on the whole pipe length according to different expansion rates. After more than half a year of preparation work, from the preliminary investigation to the formulation of the test plan, the experiment has been successfully completed. The experiment has filled the gap in the research of the whole body expanding of spiral welded pipe with large diameter and high steel grade in China, and achieved the expected effect.
